What do you find at every wedding, New Year’s celebrations, and many birthdays? Confetti, of course. Those little pieces of paper floating through the air have come to symbolize the special moments in our lives that we share with those who are most important to us. In Italy, Confetti are the little sugar-coated candies we call Jordan Almonds. The origin of Confetti dates back to the ancient Romans, who were the first to celebrate birthdays and marriages with Confetti. Today, Confetti can be found at every important celebration in both countries and all around the world. Why? Confetti makes it special!
Our name, Confetti, as well as everything we do was inspired by this rich Italian heritage. Italians are famous for many things, but more than anything for enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Even their grandest culinary creations are based on a few simple ingredients, but we were most captivated by how the thousands of gelato (ice cream) shops, coffee bars, and sandwich shops have influenced the daily lives of people throughout Italy. Our vision is to bring a few of those simple pleasures to the United States. To help our friends and neighbors slow down and enjoy the special moments in life, even if that special moment is a quick getaway from the office for lunch or a snack.
We first opened our doors in 2008 on July 4th, another important date when people all throughout our great country get together to celebrate with Confetti. Of course, we didn’t realize when we opened back then that the “Great Recession” was about to make an indelible mark on history, but thanks to our many loyal friends we have been very fortunate to see our sales grow every year since. We also care about those who haven’t been quite as fortunate and aren’t able to join us in the cafe or at one of our special events. To help make the world just a little better for them, Confetti has donated money to the Foodbank every month since we opened.
Thanks for sharing your time with us. Please let us know how we can make your day a little more special.
All the best!
